My Service To You

When I purchased my house in France it was quite a bewildering experience, even though I spoke fluent French at the time. With this in mind, I decided that the least I could do was help my clients get through the whole process of buying their property in France as smoothly as possible.

I will accompany you to the Notary's office on the day of the final signature or arrange for a Power of Attorney if you can't make it.

I can arrange the change of ownership for water and electric metres where necessary.

I can organise house insurance (in France, you have a legal obligation to be insured on the day of the final signature) and/or car insurance.

I am happy to go along to the bank with you to organise a French mortgage or, should you already have the necessary funds available for your property purchase, put you in touch with one of the leading foreign currency exchange companies for the money transfer.

ALL OF THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT NO EXTRA COST.  You pay the same price for your property as any French citizen.  There is no other fee or commission for my services but you will have to allow for notary fees.  This is a percentage depending on the price of the property and includes all taxes and registration fees - I am happy to provide you with this sum on request so that you have absolutely no surprises.  YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO PAY as all my prices are inclusive of agency feesThere are many companies (or individuals acting as 'go-betweens') who will send an additional invoice for all types of services that my agency can provide to you for free.  If in doubt, ask if they are a legally registered Estate Agent or Marketing Agent and check they have a legal professional card.

Using the internet, the next step was to contact several agents within this area, Limousin Property Shop being one of them. We struck a deal and are now proud owners of our first French property.

Elizabeth talked us through the whole process so we knew exactly what was going to happen and we felt reassured that she was always on the end of the phone or easily contactable via email, should we need her. She gave us lots of good advice, various contacts , which have been invaluable, and put up with our constant barrage of questions!! We would like to thank Elizabeth for her friendly welcome and utmost professionalism. We have bought several properties over the years in England and Spain and to date , Elizabeth Nixon has been the most keen and professional agent we have had the pleasure of dealing with.
