Bernie & Sandra Binnie, Brandon U.K. say"Carlsberg don't do estate agents but if they did this is what it would be like. Elizabeth has helped us in so many ways since we bought our house in France it hard to know where to begin. From initial viewing and getting paperwork to us in UK for signing right through the to the completion at the notaires, was faultless. Her help after with the utilities was exceptional and most appreciated, and her ongoing help and advice is much appreciated. She she is still in contact with us even now some two and a half years on, and we look forward to hearing how things are in our little piece of France. Its good to know there are still genuinely nice people to do business with.. . . more testimonials |

My Service To You |
||
|
I will accompany you to the Notary's office on the day of the final signature or arrange for a Power of Attorney if you can't make it. I can arrange the change of ownership for water and electric metres where necessary. I can organise house insurance (in France, you have a legal obligation to be insured on the day of the final signature) and/or car insurance. I am happy to go along to the bank with you to organise a French mortgage or, should you already have the necessary funds available for your property purchase, put you in touch with one of the leading foreign currency exchange companies for the money transfer. ALL OF THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AT NO EXTRA COST. You pay the same price for your property as any French citizen. There is no other fee or commission for my services but you will have to allow for notary fees. This is a percentage depending on the price of the property and includes all taxes and registration fees - I am happy to provide you with this sum on request so that you have absolutely no surprises. As I do most of the conveyancing including the initial sale agreement (Compromis de Vente) and the 7 day cooling off paperwork (Loi SRU), your notary fees will also be reduced compared to other agencies. YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO PAY as all my prices are inclusive of agency fees. There are many companies (or individuals acting as 'go-betweens') who will send an additional invoice for all types of services that my agency can provide to you for free. If in doubt, ask if they are a legally registered Estate Agent or Marketing Agent and check they have a legal professional card. Pat and Barry Carr UK say . . ."We have recently bought our holiday cottage in the Limousin region of France and honestly believe we couldn't have worked our way through the process without the help of Elizabeth. She supported us and provided sensible advice and guidance throughout and she even translated the entire compromis into English for us! She arranged the transfer of utilities into our names, and has been there every step of the way, making it all stress-free." Jan and Steve Farrington UK say . . .
Mr.and Mrs. Martin (Warminster, UK) say . . .
After
deciding to purchase a property in France, we researched
different areas and found the Limousin region offered
excellent value for money and unspoilt rural landscapes,
whilst having good transport links to the UK. Keith and Sheena Moon (France) say . . .
Before we
moved to France, like most English people, we purchased
books about Moving & Living in France and also Buying a
property in France. Once we had read these, we seemed even
more confused about the buying system but we did not let
this deter us. We came out to France & viewed several
properties with Elizabeth and it wasn't long before we found
a property we fell in love with. We spoke to Elizabeth about
the property and she put forward our offer which was
accepted. Elizabeth made the whole process of buying
straight forward and stress free. Colin Butler (Isle of Wight ) says . . .
I would
highly recommend Elizabeth Nixon & Limousin Property Shop to
anyone looking for property in the Limousin region. She has
helped my Sister & I build up a nice portfolio of
properties, using her extensive local knowledge & contacts.
She has been brilliant at finding just what we have been
looking for & has also helped value & negotiate for
properties we have found. Being completely fluent in French
also helps those Brits with a limited French vocabulary!!
