Nestled amongst the medieval towns of
Montmorillon and
Le
Dorat,
at the top of a hill is the charming and
unspoilt village of
Thiat
which is surrounded by the beautiful
Limousin
countryside. This large property built in 1853
is right in the centre and used to be the
village butchery years ago. There is a
fascinating history attached to Thiat which
includes the Black Prince destroying the
original village nearby. The survivors moved to
the present site and founded the village as it
now stands. This property is situated more or
less half way between historical Poitiers and
